Indulge in the timeless art of French patisserie with our Crème Brûlée and Sablé Biscuits Masterclass. Held at our kitchen in South Shields, this immersive workshop brings together two classic French treats: the smooth, caramel-topped Crème Brûlée and the delicate, buttery Sablé biscuit. In this two-hour class, you’ll master these iconic recipes, enjoying a true taste of France right here in the North East.
Your experience begins with the essentials of Crème Brûlée, a beloved dessert known for its rich, creamy custard and crisp caramelised sugar top. Guided by us, you’ll learn to make a perfectly smooth vanilla-infused custard and prepare it for baking. While your Crème Brûlée sets, you’ll move on to the delicate art of Sablé biscuits—French butter biscuits with a crumbly, melt-in-the-mouth texture. You’ll learn the secrets to mixing, rolling, and cutting these biscuits for that signature golden bake.
As your Crème Brûlée cools, we’ll return to create the finishing touch: caramelising the sugar to form the iconic crackling crust. Each participant will leave with their own Crème Brûlée and a batch of beautifully baked Sablé biscuits, along with recipes to recreate these delights at home.
This North East-based patisserie class is perfect for anyone in South Shields, Newcastle, and beyond, offering a delightful experience for food lovers and aspiring bakers alike.
