At The Canny Chocolate Co., we create much more than handcrafted chocolate. From our South Shields chocolate studio to workshops, tastings and events further afield, we create experiences designed to be fun, welcoming, memorable and just a little bit theatrical.

Chocolatiers
Our chocolatiers are the makers behind the scenes — creating, finishing and preparing the chocolate that goes into our products and experiences.
It’s a hands-on role where attention to detail really matters, from tempering and moulding to decorating, finishing and preparing everything beautifully for our guests.
Experience in chocolate, pâtisserie or artisan food production is always welcome, but just as important is a genuine interest in the craft and a willingness to learn.
Chocolate Animateurs
Our Chocolate Animateurs are the personalities behind our experiences.
Part host, part teacher and part entertainer, they guide guests through chocolate making, tasting and discovery while creating the warm, relaxed atmosphere our experiences are known for.
You don’t necessarily need to arrive as a chocolate expert. What matters is confidence, personality, curiosity and the ability to make people feel comfortable, involved and excited to take part.
