Join us for a Macaron Masterclass, where you’ll learn the fine art of crafting these elegant and colourful French treats in our South Shields kitchen. Known for their crisp shells, chewy centres, and delicate ganache fillings, macarons are a symbol of patisserie perfection. In this two-hour workshop, you’ll master each step of macaron-making, from whipping the meringue to piping and filling, all under our expert guidance. This hands-on experience offers a true taste of French patisserie, right here in the North East.
Your experience begins with the foundation of every great macaron: achieving the perfect meringue. Guided by us, you’ll learn how to mix, pipe, and bake the macaron shells, ensuring they develop the characteristic “feet” and smooth tops. Next, we’ll create a rich ganache filling, learning techniques for balancing flavour and texture to achieve the ideal consistency for piping.
With your macaron shells baked and cooled, you’ll fill and sandwich them to perfection, creating a beautiful batch to take home. Each participant will leave with a collection of macarons, along with recipes and notes to recreate these delicate treats at home.
This North East-based macaron class is perfect for anyone in South Shields, Newcastle, and surrounding areas eager to experience authentic French baking techniques.
