Looking for a magical and memorable activity to enjoy with the kids this festive season? Join us at The Canny Chocolate Company in South Shields for our Family Christmas Chocolate Experience—a joyful, hands-on 90-minute chocolate-making workshop that’s bursting with festive cheer and perfect for all ages.
Together, you’ll create and decorate your own Christmas chocolate bar, lollipops, and chocolate buttons using our signature artisan chocolate and a merry mix of seasonal toppings, sprinkles, and edible decorations. Think snowflakes, candy canes, holly leaves, and sparkles! It’s a fun-filled way to spend time together in the run-up to Christmas—ideal for families looking for festive activities in South Shields or the North East.
Everyone gets involved—grown-ups too! There’s no space for spectators, so children and adults roll up their sleeves and get creative side by side. You’ll enjoy plenty of festive chocolate tasting, and everything you make will be beautifully gift-wrapped to take home—perfect for stocking fillers, gifts, or a sweet treat to share.
This relaxed and friendly chocolate-making class is designed for families with children tall enough to reach a standard kitchen counter. Whether it’s your first chocolate workshop or a returning festive tradition, it’s all about creativity, connection, and making Christmas memories together.
Spaces are limited and always in high demand, especially in the lead-up to Christmas. Early booking is strongly recommended for this popular holiday activity for kids and families.
Here’s what makes this experience truly special:
Individual chocolate-making experience – Unlike many other workshops, you’ll work solo on your own creations, not in pairs or groups.
Made entirely from scratch – Using high-quality ingredients from start to finish.
Immersive and behind-the-scenes – Explore the real art of chocolate making in a working chocolate studio.
✨ You’ll craft three stunning products:
• A personalised chocolate bar
• Two decadent chocolate lollipops
• A selection of chocolate buttons
Fully customisable – Choose your own flavours and inclusions to suit your taste.
Beautifully packaged to gift or enjoy at home – Complete with ribbons and care.
Expert guidance in a relaxed atmosphere – Suitable for families of all ages.
