One of the most enjoyable parts of running The Canny Chocolate Company is sharing our passion for chocolate with people in person. Alongside creating our handmade chocolates, we regularly visit community groups to deliver our Chocolate Demonstrations, including many wonderful Women’s Institute groups across the North East.

These visits are always great fun and give people the chance to see the world of chocolate up close.

A big part of our demonstrations is sharing the story of how The Canny Chocolate Co. began.

We talk about how the business started, how our love of chocolate developed, and what it’s like running a small artisan chocolate company here in the North East. Many groups really enjoy hearing how the business has grown and the journey behind it.

A Live Chocolate Demonstration

During the evening we demonstrate some of the techniques used by chocolatiers when working with chocolate.

This gives everyone the chance to see how chocolate behaves, how different products are created, and some of the skills involved in making handmade chocolates.

Watching chocolate being worked with in real time is always fascinating, and it often sparks plenty of questions and conversation from the audience.
