Our Autumn Pâtisserie Menu Has Arrived!

There’s something truly magical about this time of year. The nights draw in a little earlier, the air feels crisp and fresh, and suddenly the idea of slowing down with something warm, comforting and indulgent feels irresistible. At The Canny Chocolate Co., autumn is one of our favourite seasons in the kitchen – it’s a time for deeper flavours, richer bakes, and cosy weekend treats shared with the people you love.

That’s why we’re so excited to finally share that our Autumn Pâtisserie Menu launches on Saturday 13th September at 9am, right here in South Shields. From that weekend onwards, you’ll find a brand new line-up of indulgent tarts, bakes and seasonal creations waiting for you at the counter – available every Saturday and Sunday throughout the season.

A Menu Filled with Comfort and Indulgence

This year’s autumn range has been designed to capture the flavours and feelings that make the season so special. Kevin has been busy experimenting, tasting, and perfecting each recipe, with a focus on flavours that warm you up from the inside out.

Every bake is crafted with the finest ingredients, carefully balanced so each bite feels luxurious but never heavy. It’s all about that perfect blend of indulgence and comfort – the sort of flavours that make you want to linger just a little longer over your weekend coffee.

Freshly Baked, Small-Batch, and Worth the Wait

We believe pâtisserie should feel special – which is why every item on our Autumn Menu is baked in small batches, by hand, with real care. There are no conveyor belts or factory shortcuts here, just a small team working passionately behind the scenes to bring something memorable to your table.

The menu is available from 9am every Saturday, served fresh from our kitchen. Because everything is made in small quantities, items are available until sold out – and they really do sell quickly! If there’s something you’re especially keen to try, we recommend calling in earlier rather than later.

And don’t worry – there’s no need to pre-order. Just pop in, browse the counter, and pick out whatever takes your fancy on the day.

Why Autumn is Our Favourite Baking Season

There’s something so inspiring about autumn for a chocolatier and pâtissier. The season naturally lends itself to richer flavours and heartier textures – the kind of desserts that are best enjoyed with a steaming mug of hot chocolate or coffee while the leaves fall outside.

Caramel feels even more indulgent, cherries take on a deeper sweetness, and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg come into their own. For us, this menu is about celebrating those seasonal flavours and giving them a Canny Chocolate twist – a little more luxurious, a little more playful, and always beautifully made.
